Cons: I have bought several refurbished laptops in the past and this is the first bad experience I have had doing this. This is the first time I have bought a refurb from newegg, and if this is any indication, I will not be doing business with them in the future.
The laptop arrived and had two problems: the wireless Internet apparently had an antenna defect with the bars intermittently dropping from five to one without any change in location of the laptop or wireless router. Also, at certain screen angles the display flickered indicating a problem with the internal video cables.
For starters: they will not issue a refund despite shipping a defective machine.

Other Thoughts: Most disappointing is neweggs refusal to issue a refund despite shipping a defective machine. Their stance is that you must either return it to them for a replacement or send it to the manufacturer for repair. Keep this in mind if you are on a tight timeline or need something for business.
If they send you a defective item, you may be stuck.
